LAKE ELSINORE – After arresting three suspects in a December shooting, Riverside County Sheriff Investigators are seeking the community’s assistance in finding the remaining suspects.
Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Riverside County Sheriff’s Department were called to respond to a shooting in the 32000 block of Edmond Street, in the community of Good Hope on December, 30, 2014. Around 9:30 PM the deputies were able to locate a man who had been shot multiple times. Once the victim was transported to a local hospital, investigators arrived and assumed the investigation.
The victim was treated and able to recover from the wounds.
The investigation pointed authorities to 20-year-old Menifee resident Judy Avalos as a suspect in the crime. On December 31, 2014, she was arrested for conspiracy to commit murder and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center where she is currently being held on a $1,000,000 bail.
The ongoing investigation pointed to four additional suspects. On January 22, 2015, 19-year-old Jurupa Valley resident Anthony Reyes was arrested in the city of Rowland Heights. Another arrest was made on March 11, 2015, when investigators located 21-year-old Jurupa Valley resident Carlos Ortiz in the city of Riverside. Both were arrested for conspiracy to commit murder and are currently being held at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility, each on a $1,000,000 bail.
Two suspects in the shooting remain at large and investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in finding their location. According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department, 25-year-old, Pedro Gomez, and 24-year-old Aaron Ulises Correa Rodriguez, residents of Jurupa Valley are considered suspects in the crime. Both are currently wanted for conspiracy to commit murder.
