The San Luis Obispo Police are searching for four suspects who burglarized a commercial property on Saturday.
According to SLOPD, officers responded to the Sunglass Hut, located at 822 Marsh, regarding a report of a burglary. A Sunglass Hut employee told police that while the business was being opened that morning, the employee discovered the front door of the business had been forced open. The employee immediately contacted SLOPD.
SLO officers discovered four male suspects, who were wearing dark clothing and gloves, broke the lock on the front door at approximately 4:20 a.m. that morning.
Investigators state that after gaining entry, the suspects disabled the alarm system and removed the majority of the merchandise from the store floor.
Police also state the suspects also removed stock from the storage room and cash from the register. Investigators calculated the suspects were only in the store approximately four minutes and left in an unknown direction. A security camera in the store captured footage of the suspects as they were committing this crime.
According to SLOPD, a similar case occurred a month ago at the Sunglass Hut in the Pismo Beach Prime Outlets. Police are asking anyone with information to please come forward.
