Two Arrested for Robbing Man at Bakersfield Marijuana Collective
BAKERSFIELD — Two men were arrested last Friday after trying to rob a man outside a central Bakersfield marijuana collective.
Ennis Body, 49, and 24-year-old Armando Medrano were booked into the Kern County Jail for robbery, conspiracy and being felons in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident began at around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, September 18, when officers responded to a victim of a robbery that had occurred at the LOL Marijuana Collective located at 941 Baker Street.
When officers arrived they said they discovered that the victim stated he had just been robbed at gun and knife point by the employees in the business.
Officers returned to the collective where they contacted Body and Medrano, and said they said were in possession of the firearm and machete that were reportedly used in the offense, as well as personal items belonging to the victim that were taken during the robbery.
Ennis Body has been arrested at least nine times in a little over a year, according to available records. On June 21 of this year he was picked up by Bakersfield police for shoplifting, petty theft, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has been arrested on similar charges multiple times since April of 2014.
