An arrest was made of a woman in Madera for alleged child abuse.
According to the official report released by the Madera County Department of Corrections, Angie Contreras, 22, was apprehended on one count of felony inflicting corporal injury on a child, battery, interfering with an officer, and battery on a peace officer. The arrest was made by Madera Police last Friday, October 2.
Contreras, who reports her occupation as “production”, was arrested at least three times before, according to available records. In May of this year she was charged with domestic violence – battery on a non-cohabitant with whom she has had relations. In July of 2011, when she had just turned 18, she was charged with disorderly conduct – pubic intoxication. Then in December of 2012 she was arrested for possession of stolen property.
The details of her latest arrest were not made public. She was released Friday on $76,500.00 bail.
