Walnut Wood Apartments
SACRAMENTO — A 25-year-old man was fatally shot on Saturday , December 12, 2015, in a Carmichael apartment complex following an altercation.
At approximately 11:00 pm, witnesses told police they heard a fight, followed by a gunshot, near the man’s apartment on the 2800 block of Walnut Avenue at the Walnut Wood Apartments. Two males were seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle that was leaving the complex out towards Walnut Avenue
When police arrived, they discovered that the victim had been shot. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. His name has not been released pending identification of family members by the Sacramento County Coroner.
