A man has been arrested for alleged violent behavior in Chowchilla on Tuesday.
According to the Madera County Department of Corrections official media report, Andrew Contreras (19) was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, threatening crime with intent to terrorize, inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, and probation violation.
Per the MCDC report, Contreras is currently unemployed and has no prior record, somewhat contradictory to the fact that he’s on probation. The motive for the assault is also unknown.
Contreras is currently held on $75,000 bail and could face harsh penalties of convicted due to violating his probation.
