Some thieves can be oblivious to the reality of being caught and one thief particularly hasn’t seemed to learn his lesson from four previous arrests.
On December 14th, a man was walking along on the 400 Block of West 224th Street in Carson looking for some trouble.
According to the report and the surveillance video, the suspect walked up to a residence’s porch and took a Christmas package that was posted in front of the door.
The suspect was quickly identified as Gabriel Martinez, 32, who has multiple incidents with the law prior to this one. Detectives issued a search warrant on Martinez’s residence on Tuesday and discovered multiple additional items that were stolen.
Martinez was arrested immediately and booked to the Carson Sheriff’s Station.
He is currently being held in lieu on a $20,000 bail and is schedule to have his hearing on Thursday at the Compton Superior Court.
According to his past records, he has been charged for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle three times, Child Endangerment, and Theft. He’s been caught on a surveillance video twice from stealing packages at residences.
