As soon as Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office posted that Joshua Power was a wanted man, tips came pouring in.
A surveillance team was assembled and power was arrested on January 16 at about 12:45 PM in the Groveland/Greeley Hill area.
Power was riding as a passenger in a vehicle driving through Tuolumne county when the Sheriff’s Department initiated a traffic stop. Power then fled on foot, eventually choosing to draw a utility knife. He was eventually apprehended with the help of Stockton police K9 Cain, then taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center where he was treated for custody clearance and then booked.
Power faces several charges including burglary, robbery, domestic violence, corporal injury to a minor, criminal threats, and parole violation. Kevin Roberts, the driver, was also taken into custody for a felony weapons charge warrant from Stanislaus County with a bail of $50,500.
