The arrest of a wanted suspect was made last Wednesday in the city of Madera.
According to the official media report released by the Madera County Department of Corrections, Jose Rodrigo Martinez (25) was arrested by officers of the MCDC and the Madera Police Department for an out-of-county warrant, two counts of re-arrest, possession of a firearm and assault weapon with a high-capacity magazine, and possession of a concealed weapon.
Martinez was arrested after giving false identification to the police, for which he has also been charged.
According to the MCDC report, Rodriguez is unemployed.
Currently, he is being held in the corrections center, spending his 25th birthday behind bars. It is not clear yet as to whether he will be kept in Madera County for his weapons charges or be extradited to where the prior warrants were issued.
