An arrest was made last Wednesday involving a child sex charge.
According to the official media report by the Madera County Department of Corrections, Ramon Ramirez (24) was picked up on two counts of oral copulation with a victim under the age of 18 and one count of sexual battery and unlawful restraint. The arrest was made by officers of the Madera Police Department.
According to the MCDC report, Ramirez’s employment is unlisted, if he works at all. He has no known priors and the name of the victim has been withheld for confidentiality reasons.
Ramirez is currently held on $195,000 bail. If convicted, he can expect a decades-long sentence on top of spending the rest of his life as a registered sex offender, in accordance with Megan’s Law.
