An arrest was made in Madera last Thursday after an attempted kidnapping.
According to the official media report released by the Madera County Department of Corrections, 24-year-old Rodrigo Hurtado was apprehended on two counts of child stealing. The arrest was made by officers of the MCDC in the early hours of the morning right as the crime was allegedly being committed.
According to records, Hurtado works as a cook. His relationship to the children, as well as their identities, is unknown.
This is not the first time he has been arrested for crimes involving children. Hurtado was also arrested in August 2014 for willful cruelty to a child with the possibility of death or endangerment and contribution to the delinquency of a child, as well as drunk and disorderly conduct and criminal conspiracy.
