The arrest of a suspected pedophile was made on Monday in Madera.
According to the reports released by the Madera County Department of Corrections, 25-year-old Ulises Tixta-Castro was apprehended on two counts for oral copulation/intercourse with a child who was 10 years of age or younger and one count of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age. The arrest was made by Madera PD officers.
According to the MCDC reports, Tixta-Castro is currently employed as a field worker. The names of the victims, as well as their specific relationship to the suspect, have been withheld for confidentiality. Currently, Castro is being held in the county jail on $900,000 bond.
If convicted, he could spend no less than two decades in California state prison and the rest of his life as a registered sex offender in accordance with Megan’s Law.
