WATSONVILLE — The Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team (SCCACT) has arrested 34-year-old Marquis Keyon Bolden of Fresno after numerous tips about drugs and prostitution at the Economy Inn Motel at 584 Auto Drive.
Going off these tips, the SCCACT team served a search warrant at the hotel and detained Bolden in the parking lot.
In his room, authorities found a 16-year-old female, along with 3 ounces of methamphetamine and evidence that narcotics were being packaged for sale.
The young victim told an agent she was being held against her will and was forcibly taken from Fresno County and into Santa Cruz County. She also said Bolden had sexually assaulted her and was also regularly sexually exploiting her for financial gain.
Bolden was arrested and charged with false imprisonment, kidnapping, pimping, child abuse, rape by force, lewd/lascivious acts against a child, procurement of a person of the purpose of prostitution, human trafficking, methamphetamine sales, narcotics sales with priors, and possession of a controlled substance.
The victim has been provided support services and reunited with her family. Bolden’s bail has been set at $225,000.
