The Paso Robles Police arrested a man on Thursday, June 23 for possession of child pornography.
According to police, they received a call last Thursday around 10:55 p.m. regarding a disturbance outside a residence in the 1000 block of Vista Grande Street.
When officers arrived they discovered a few parties engaged with each other. Officers separated the involved parties and learned that an adult female resident interrupted an adult male visitor, while he was in the act of taking lewd photographs of her six-year-old daughter.
The girl’s mother told officers she took immediate action to protect her daughter and then she alerted other adults in the home. This led to the disturbance and the call to the PRPD by an individual separate from the scene.
It was discovered the suspect had committed a lewd act with the same victim at a previous date and time.
The suspect was identified as Jason Robert Porter, 44, of Paso Robles.
Porter was arrested at the scene and later booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for felony possession of child pornography and felony lewd act with a child under 14 years of age.
