A man is wanted for attempting to reportedly rape two female victims at two different locations in the afternoon of August 1st in Los Angeles.
On Monday around 12:30 p.m., the suspect entered an apartment that was left unlocked at the 800 block of North Mariposa Street.
According to the report, the victim left the door unlocked because she was walking to the laundry room of the complex. After five minutes, the victim returned and noticed a man standing behind her door. A moment later, he covered her mouth and pushed her into a wall, where she fell to the floor. The victim screamed for help, which caused the suspect to panic and flee the scene.
The victim was otherwise unharmed.
Nearly two hours later, apparently the same suspect walked into another apartment that was unlocked at the 1600 block of Cortez Street in the City. The victim heard someone walk in the residence as her dogs were barking loudly.
The victim walked out of her room to confront the suspect, and according to the report, “The victim asked the suspect ‘What’s happening?’ The suspect responded ‘You’re pretty, I want to make you mine!'”
He proceeded towards her and forcefully inserted his hand inside her blouse and started playing with her breasts. The victim attempted to pull away, but the suspect pinned her against the couch.
Aware of the situation, the dogs came to the victim’s aid. The dogs attempted to bite the suspect’s leg causing him to lift it up, losing his leverage in pinning the victim. The victim was then able to push the suspect off and got him out of the apartment.
A video surveillance of both apartment complexes captured the suspect, which confirmed it was the same suspect during both incidents.
The suspect was described as a black male in his mid-late 20’s, black hair, brown eyes, approximately six feet tall, weighing at around 180 lbs. He was seen wearing a green olive shirt with a picture of the Virgin Mary, blue jeans and white shoes.
