Sycamore Mineral Springs
The San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office is searching for two suspects who robbed two separate locations last week.
According to the sheriff’s office, the first robbery occurred on Friday around 10:35 p.m. at the Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort in Avila Beach.
An unknown male suspect armed with a hand gun robbed a clerk at the resort then fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money. Investigators state no one was harmed during the robbery.
Witnesses describe the suspect as a white-male adult in his 30s, approximately 6’2″ with a medium build, wearing a black ski mask, black sweatshirt and blue jeans. The suspect fled the area in a dark colored sedan.
The second armed robbery occurred at the Nipomo Smoke Shop, located at 110 Mary Avenue in Nipomo.
Witnesses told investigators a male suspect armed with a small handgun entered the store and robbed the clerk of approximately $350. The suspect then ran off into the surrounding area.
Investigators stated no one was hurt during the robbery. Witnesses describe this suspect as a white-male adult, approximately 30- to 35-years-old, between 5′ 10″ and 6′ 0″ tall, approximately 180 pounds with short dark hair.
The suspect was last seen wearing a white-hooded sweatshirt possibly inside out and dark sweatpants. The suspect was wearing a bandana over his face during the robbery.
