LOMA LINDA – He said he was a “batallion chief,” but when police pulled Ronald Dota over for a vehicle code violation, his story turned to ashes.
Upon further investigation, police discovered that Dota was not a fireman at all. They instead discovered a false LA County fire department credentials, hidden emergency lights, magnet mounted antennas and “a dangerous weapon” within his reach.
Dota was arrested and police later searched his apartment and found additional property that belonged to the LA County Fire Department.
Police are requesting that if anyone has had experience with Dota identifying himself as a fireman to contact them at (909)387-3545 or to leave an anonymous tip at 1-800-78-CRIME.
