Residential burglar Arrested in Milpitas

Quang Minh Ho

MILPITAS — A burglary suspect was arrested this week by Milpitas Police after a resident came home and saw a suspicious person run out of a nearby house.

According to Lieutenant Kevin Moscuzza with the Milpitas Police Department, “On October 20th, 2016, at approximately 11:36 A.M., Milpitas police officers responded to an interrupted home burglary on Strickroth Drive.”

The resident quickly called 9-1-1. Within minutes, a Milpitas police detective and several patrolling officers arrived at the scene. With a description of the suspect provided by a vigilant resident, officers were able to locate the suspect.

Moscuzza said, “When the detective tried to stop him, the man ran to Escuela Parkway where he was detained by additional officers” and identified as 28-year-old transient Quang Minh Ho.

Ho admitted to stealing several items from the home, including an iPad and purse that was later identified and returned to the resident.

Further follow up on Ho’s identity revealed that he was on active parole from the California Department of Corrections. Once MPD officers were able to clear the scene, Ho was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for residential burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, and a parole hold.
