Heather Dupre
SAN BERNARDINO – 29-year-old Heather Dupre had just purchased a brand new 2016 KIA Optima. Some time after the purchase, Deputy Hollenbaugh with the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Central Station conducted a traffic stop on Dupre and her new ride, at which point her crimes came to light.
The officer discovered several kinds of fraud perpetrated by Dupre, who purchased the KIA with someone else’s ID. She was also driving with a driver’s license that contained the victim’s information.
Further investigation revealed that 38-year-old Danielle Golden was also involved in the ruse. She and Dupre were arrested.
On September 24, the victim reported that her car was burglarized and her purse was stolen. SBSD encourages everyone to monitor their credit card activity, especially if their card is lost or stolen.
They add, “Anyone with information regarding this investigation is urged to contact the Central Station. Callers wishing to remain anonymous are urged to call the We-tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME (27463).”
