OROVILLE — On October 29th at approximately 10 PM, Butte County deputies arrived at Gold Country Casino on reports of an intoxicated customer who’d assaulted casino employees.
23-year-old Dallas Keith Iverson was discovered outside the casino, where he was being detained by the staff. When deputies made contact, he became even more confrontational and shouted racial slurs.
He was subdued and placed into a patrol car, at which point he began kicking violently at the right rear passenger door. When a deputy opened the door to try and calm him down, Iverson kicked him in the chest and knocked him to the ground. Iverson was then removed from the vehicle and placed in safety restraints to prevent further damage. The deputy was taken to Oroville Medical Center to be treated for injuries to his rib cage and knee.
Iverson, who had sustained minor injuries during his altercations with casino staff and the deputies, was also treated at the medical center before being transported and booked into the Butte County Jail. He is housed on charges of resisting an executive officer with force or violence, battery, and battery on a peace officer.
