SAN LEANDRO – A 40-year-old computer consultant was scheduled to appear for a court hearing at the Hayward Hall of Justice on November 18th, for allegedly using social media to lure a 14-year-old girl to an Oakland motel and commit illegal sexual acts.
San Leandro police arrested Ian R. Teager, a resident of Patterson (nearly 70 miles away), who was booked at Santa Rita Jail on November 5th, where he has been held for $400,000 bail.
The married Teager is accused of committing a lewd act upon a child, oral copulation with person under 14 years of age, and sexual penetration by foreign object.
Police said the suspect posed as a 14-year-old boy on social media and later met the victim in San Leandro, before driving her to a motel nearby in Oakland.
