Police display what was in Lopez’ car
HIGHLAND – It’s a story we’ve seen so many times – a car is pulled over for some minor violation and its driver is then arrested for some other infraction.
41-year-old Christopher Lopez experienced the reality of this theme on Wednesday night at 11:30 when he was pulled over for an “equipment violation.”
The two deputies who pulled him over saw a meth pipe on the dashboard of the car in plain view.
Inside the vehicle they discovered two loaded handguns, one of which was reported stolen out of Colorado.
In addition, the deputies also confiscated 2 ounces of meth and $2,000. Lopez is a convicted felon and was summarily arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.
