CLEARLAKE OAKS — On December 1st at approximately 2:15 AM, Sheriff’s Office central dispatch received a report of a man who’d fired his gun into a home on Elem Drive. When deputies arrived, they found a woman inside, dead from a gunshot wound.
Deputies also found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his arm and a 6-year-old child with an injured arm. They were also notified that another woman had suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the chest and had taken herself to the hospital. The injured woman and child found in the home were both taken by air ambulance to facilities outside of Lake County.
Meanwhile, the scene was secured and Major Crimes Unit arrived to assist. Initial investigation identified 24-year-old Ezequiel Junior Bravo as the primary suspect. Bravo had apparently fled the scene in one of the victims’ vehicles, which was later found abandoned on Pomo Road. Ground and air searches were conducted and a B.O.L.O. with Bravo’s photo was distributed.
Then, at around 9 AM, an official at Pomo Elementary School spotted a suspicious person on campus who bore a resemblance to the photo of Bravo issued in the press release. Clearlake Police responded and the suspect, confirmed to be Bravo, was taken into custody without incident.
Bravo was booked at the Hill Road Correctional Facility on charges of murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, and assault with serious bodily injury. He is currently housed on $1,000,000 bail.
