FOUNTAIN VALLEY — At least two instances of vehicle burglary were connected to a suspect who was arrested on November 29th.
The first vehicle burglary occurred on November 21st at 117200 Newhope Street. In this instance, the vehicle’ front passenger window was broken and a purse and wallet were stolen.
Video surveillance captured the license plate of the suspect’s vehicle. Video was also obtained of the suspect using the stolen credit cards in Santa Ana.
Then, on November 26th, another window smash of a vehicle in the 10300 block of Slater Avenue occurred. In this incident, CDs were taken. A security guard on scene noticed what was happening and wrote down the suspect’s license plate as he drove away.
Finally, on November 29th, police located and arrested 26-year-old Santa Ana resident Ricardo Perea Aguirre. The Fountain Valley Police reported that “Aguirre was arrested for burglary and was booked into the Orange County Jail where he is being held on $20,000 bail.”
