Accident occurred near this corner
LOS ANGELES – On the morning of Wednesday, December 7th, on Washington Boulevard near Central Avenue, a bicyclist was struck from behind by an approaching vehicle.
The 2013 Toyota Corolla hit the cyclist and threw him into the street.
The driver slowed down, but then took off, leaving the scene. The unidentified black male on the bicycle, about 35 – 40 years old, died at the hospital.
As authorities investigated the scene, they discovered the driver nearby wiping down the front of his vehicle while parked at a car dealership. He was taken into custody and only identified as a 28-year-old Filipino man from Los Angeles.
