SANTA ANA – On the afternoon of November 21st the M & Toi Cafe was robbed. According to witnesses, a male Hispanic entered the restaurant, sat down at the bar and soon thereafter sent a text.
Within a minute, two other male suspects entered with their faces covered by bandannas and armed with a knife and a handgun.
The male at the bar, with hands up, went around to the cash register and took out money. Any idea that he was an innocent bystander merely complying to avoid injury fled out the door with him, as he and the other two all left the cafe.
On December 2nd, a 17-year-old Westminster youth turned himself in as one of the robbers. On December 8th, another 17-year-old, from Santa Ana, also turned himself in. They were both arrested for armed robbery and placed into Juvenile Hall.
Police are still looking for the third robber, a Hispanic male 20-25 years old, 5’6″-5″8″, thin build, who goes by the name of “Mark” and frequents the west end of Santa Ana.
