Filberto Silva
HIGHLAND – On the night of September 11th this year, someone stood outside of their car, talking on their cell phone, and was approached by two Hispanic male adults.
Armed with a semi-automatic pistol, they demanded wallet and cell phone, and promptly received them and left.
Responding investigators put together detailed descriptions of the duo, and also had access to clear video from businesses in the area.
From this they identified 19-year-old San Bernardino resident Luis Nuno and 18-year-old Colton resident Filberto Silva as the robbers.
10 days later authorities located and arrested Nuno, also confiscating the weapon used in the crime.
Silva, however, fled the state of California. His departure proved to be impermanent, however, when he was captured by a U.S. Marshall Fugitive Task Force Team in Kingman, Arizona.
Silva was promptly returned to California to face his charges and impending incarceration.
