FRESNO – Just before Christmas on Thursday, December 22nd, a call came in to Fresno Police from a motorist who reported that someone pointed a gun at him after he’d honked his horn at him.
The offending driver was swerving in the roadway, prompting his fellow motorist’s response.
It wasn’t long before responding officers spotted the suspect vehicle and stopped its driver near West and Ashlan Avenues.
24-year-old Gerardo Meza, a felon with priors, was arrested after police discovered a short barreled shotgun hidden in the bushes nearby where they were interviewing him.
In addition, Meza was identified by the motorist as the person who had pointed the shotgun at him.
He was booked for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of an illegal firearm.
