MURRIETA – Christmas probably wasn’t a happy time for four Murrieta residents, as their nefarious drug activities ran up against the Murrieta Police Department and landed them in jail.
The first incident occurred in the waning hours of Christmas Eve as officers responded to a concern of a possible burglary voiced by a security guard at a senior community.
Police discovered a couple in a car nearby. As they investigated they learned that the male, 53-year-old Ronald Waggoner, had an extensive criminal history involving burglary and narcotics. Since Waggoner was on Post Release Community Supervison, officers searched his car and discovered meth and meth pipes.
As they were active with Waggoner, 22-year-old Robert Grant, also on PRCS, pulled up. A search of his car also resulted in the discovery of meth and paraphernalia. Both suspects were arrested for narcotic possession. Waggoner’s passenger was released.
Two hours later, early Christmas morning, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 22900 block of Montanya Place. 22-year-old Felan Gutierrez, also on PRCS, was arrested for possession of heroin and meth. 24-year-old Annarose Kovalik Davida was also arrested on the same charge.
