Fernando Jimenez
FRESNO – On Saturday afternoon, 32-year-old Fernando Jimenez broke into a home on the 9500 block of W. Whitesbridge Avenue.
Police were called to the home and discovered a broken window and a bicycle parked outside.
Calls in English and Spanish alerting whoever was inside that police were on scene did not get a response.
Once in the home, Kajo, a K-9 officer, alerted his fellow officers of a closed bedroom door. Officers proceeded into the bedroom and discovered Jimenez hiding under a blanket on a bed in that room. Kajo bit the naked suspect on the leg.
Jimenez came out holding a large kitchen knife, and Kajo then bit his wrist as well. Jimenez then dropped the knife and soon switched accommodations to the Fresno County Jail.
Further investigation revealed that no property was stolen from the home. However, it seemed as if Jimenez cooked a meal and drank a bottle of wine.
Jimenez’ bail was set at $40,000.
