BALDWIN PARK – The most recent turn in this sad story occurred in April of 2016, when the SB Fire Department responded to a call of a structure fire at a home in the 9800 block of Mesa Road.
As they put out the fire, the responders discovered a body in the home, later identified as 56-year-old Lynda Cestone. Her husband, 68-year-old Donald Jenman, also lived in the home and suffered minor burns in the fire.
In 2010, Cestone had suffered a stroke and was thereafter paralyzed and bedridden.
Further investigation revealed that a gas supply line was disconnected at the home. Jenman was arrested on January 13 after the investigation concluded and charged with murder. His bail is set at $1 million.
