Deaundre Marquise Bonds
LOS ANGELES – The LA County District Attorney’s Office announced that they have charged 40-year-old actor Deaundre Marquise Bonds with assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a dirk or dagger and vandalism under $400.
Bonds is known to some for his roles in “The Wood” and “Get on the Bus” and, most recently, the 2015 film “Dope.”
Bonds is suspected of attacking a family member on Tuesday night. He was convicted of corporal injury to a spouse/cohabitant/child/parent in 1997, voluntary manslaughter in 2002 and vandalism in 2015.
This most recent incident arose after an altercation with a family member. Bonds got two knives out of the kitchen and threw one of them at the relative. He then stabbed a locked bedroom door where the relative was hiding.
The suspect faces a 13-year maximum sentence.
