FONTANA – After midnight on Monday January 30th, Fontana police stopped a 2001 Honda Civic for vehicle code violations.
As they continued their investigation they noticed a large pile of mail in the back of the vehicle.
Not long after they arrested the occupants — 30-year-old Servando Paz-Miranda and 28-year-old Jazin Ugalde for possession of stolen property, identity theft, forged checks and possession of narcotics.
Among the pile authorities found stolen mail, checks, W-2 forms, government ID cards, and narcotics.
They further determined that at least 50 people were affected by the crimes.
