Andre Salaman Bautista
LOS ANGELES — 38-year-old Andre Salaman Bautista (aka Andre Bauth) had written and starred in an independent movie about a landlord who killed his tenets.
On September 8, 2016, Bautista stabbed fellow actor and his Studio City tenant and roommate, Clayton Haymes, in the chest. Apparently the tenant laughed when Bautista told him that he would win five Academy Awards.
On Wednesday, he was found guilty of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
Sentencing comes next month as Bautista faces 13 years in state prison.
Us Magazine mentions that Bautista is a Daytime Emmy Award winner as one of the producers of the online soap opera, The Bay.
