FPD display recovered items
FRESNO – Two thieves broke into a car and got away with some items that belonged to State Parole. However, this case was wrapped up within the day.
It started early Wednesday morning when they took items that included a handgun, ballistic vests, a taser, radios, duffel bags and ammunition locked in the trunk of the car.
A surveillance video revealed a red two-door vehicle leaving the scene. In less than three hours, someone reported that they found some of the stolen items in a dumpster at an apartment complex at 1725 N. Marks Street.
Another video from the apartment complex showed 20-year-old Emari Johnson throwing the items into the dumpster. Johnson was arrested as he left his apartment there.
The second suspect, 22-year-old Anthony Jones, was arrested inside of the same apartment. All of the stolen property was recovered.
The duo was charged with burglary and receiving stolen property.
