Placer Authorities On The Hunt For Attempted Child Abductor In Auburn
Luther Road and Slade Lane (Google maps)
Placer County Sheriff’s Deputies are now searching for a man they say attempted to take two innocent young girls in two separate incidents in the Northern Auburn area this last Friday afternoon.
A 12 year old girl was walking near Luther Road and Slade Lane about 3 p.m. eager to get home from a day of school when an older blue SUV pulled up along side her and the driver attempted to get her into the vehicle by asking her if she wanted a ride home.
Wisely, the girl refused and ran away, making it home safe and sound.
Only 10 minutes later authorities say that the same man approached an 11 year old girl on foot in the same general area as she was making her way home from her bus stop. This time he grew more brazen and desperate as he grabbed the little girl’s arm and tried to pull her away with him.
This little girl was able to bravely fight off her attacker though and narrowly escaped from the man, running away from him while he gave up in his efforts and ran the opposite direction.
Placer Sheriff’s Department were alerted shortly thereafter and responded immediately. Unfortunately they were still too late to the scene, as the man and his car have disappeared.
They are still seeking the suspect but need your help.
The man was described as white, 30-40 years old, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was also described as having a moustache. At the time of the incidents he was wearing a green shirt with black pants and blue or black boots.
His car was described as small blue four door SUV from the late 90’s similar to a Ford Explorer or Chevy Blazer with a black and white sticker on the passenger side of the rear window.
Anyone who has any information on this case or sees a man or the vehicle that fits this description is urged to please call the Placer County Sheriff’s Department at 530-886-5375.
