BAKERSFIELD — On Wednesday night, Bakersfield police conducted a traffic stop on a car and in the course of that stop discovered drugs and a gun.
44-year-old Mauricio Cuevas was driving with an open alcoholic beverage container. On his person, he had meth and over $1,000 in cash.
Further investigation of his vehicle revealed a stolen handgun and over an ounce of meth.
In addition, Cuevas was driving with a suspended license.
Cuevas was arrested and is held on a $110,000 bail.
