Tyree Francis surrenders (CBS2-LA)
LOS ANGELES — Two different people led police on two different pursuits last Wednesday, and they both were arrested for their efforts.
In North Hollywood, 29-year-old Samuel Boyadazhyan led police on a 90-minute chase that began when he pulled up alongside of a patrol officer and shouted obscenities at him and claimed to be armed.
That chase ended at Sherman Way and Coldwater Canyon Avenue. Boyadazhyan faces charges of reckless driving, engaging in a speeding contest, and resisting a peace officer. He also face a maximum of three years in prison.
In the other incident, 24-year-old Tyree Francis was pursued by police to a shopping center, where he then resumed the chase, hitting four vehicles and injuring four people.
Francis’ charges include assault on a peace officer, assault with a deadly weapon, hit and run, and felony possession of a firearm. His maximum sentence could reach 127 years to life in prison.
