HOLLISTER — The string of armed robberies continues as Hollister Police look for leads to the identification of the suspect. This time, he visited the UPS Store on McCray Street last Thursday afternoon.
According to police, the suspect is described as approximately 5’4″, 150 pounds, and dressed in khaki pants and a dark hooded sweatshirt. He is reported to have walked up to the checkout counter, drawn his gun, and demanded money.
As it so happened, however, the clerk managed to catch a look at the suspect in the process of donning a black mask, observing dark marks on both sides of his eyes that appeared to be tattoos.
In keeping with what appears to be a pattern among other robberies, the suspect bore a similar physical description, wore the same clothing, and apparently used a similar type of gun.
In each robbery, the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The investigation is ongoing as police continue to interview witnesses and those in the area who may have gotten a good look.
Anyone with information that may lead to an identity or an arrest is encouraged to contact the Hollister Police Department at 831-636-4330 and ask for Officer Yamamoto.
