School Street Market
LAMONT – On Monday night the School Street Market at 8412 School Street in Lamont was the scene of an attempted robbery….and a shooting.
Two Hispanic males entered the store with handguns displayed. The store employee countered with a handgun of his own.
In the ensuing interaction, gunfire was exchanged and the two suspects fled.
Responding deputies discovered blood at the scene. They also learned that two shooting victims were reported at Kern Medical.
The pair, an adult and a juvenile, were subsequently identified as the attempted robbers. They will be charged with attempted murder and robbery.
