LOS BANOS — On February 19th just before 5 PM, officers arrived at Skylark Park to investigate a report of suspicious individuals spraying graffiti. Witnesses also reported that the suspects fled the area in a Chevy Impala.
It wasn’t long before officers spotted the vehicle and conducted a stop, at which point they met with the occupants — Daniel Borbon (18), Richard Francisco Castillo (28), and Elija Achaia Hernandez (20), who happened to have fresh paint on their hands and cans of spraypaint in their car.
All three were arrested for vandalism and participation in a criminal street gang. Castillo was also charged with DUI; Castillo and Hernandez were both charged with parole violation.
