MERCED — This past Wednesday, February 22nd, Merced PD’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit spoke with known gang members Daniel Reynoso and Mario Sanchez (both 21) on the 900 block of U Street.
A K-9 alerted officers to the pair’s car, at which point officers observed Reynoso throw something inside. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle which turned up a loaded 9mm handgun and ammunition.
The two were arrested and booked for possession of a loaded firearm and gang enhancements.
