REDDING — On March 4th at around 2 AM, Redding PD officers arrived on the 1000 block of Yogi Court, where they met with one 36-year-old Joshua Eugene Brock in regards to a reported disturbance.
While speaking with Brock, officers noticed he was trying to hide something in the center console of his vehicle which turned out to be a plastic bag containing a large amount (69.1 grams) of methamphetamine.
Per the circumstances, Brock was detained and his vehicle was searched. Officers discovered a digital gram scale and other items which indicated narcotic sales, as well as a switchblade knife found on Brock’s person.
Brock was ultimately taken into custody. A records check revealed that he was on bail for a prior arrest on charges including felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance for sale, armed while possessing narcotics for sale, and felony evasion.
He was booked into the Shasta County Jail for possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a switchblade knife, and committing a felony while on bail.
