LAKEPORT — On February 15th, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at the Robinson Casino in Upper Lake after a robbery was picked up on CCTV.
The footage showed three suspects — quickly identified as Fabian Rosales-Reyes, Raymond Casillas, and Carlos Casillas — working together to get their hands on a woman’s purse while she was distracted.
One of the suspects sat next to her at a card table and used his foot to push her purse away and towards another suspect, who stood behind him. The second man then rummaged through the purse and stole $1,500 in cash while the third man played the role of lookout.
Then, on March 8th, Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force, with the assistance of Lake County Sheriff’s Major Crimes and SWAT units, descended on a residence on the 800 block of Central Park Avenue, armed with a search warrant and three arrest warrants.
Gang and drug paraphernalia, as well as methamphetamine, were seized and the three men were taken into custody.
Rosales-Reyes was booked on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and participation in a criminal street gang and placed on no-bail hold. As it so happened, he was also on felony probation out of Lake County.
Carlos Casillas was booked on charges of grand theft, conspiracy to commit a crime, and participation in a criminal street gang, with bail set to $40,000.
Raymond Casillas was booked on charges of grand theft, conspiracy to commit a crime, and participation in a criminal street gang.
A fourth suspect, Damien Rosales-Reyes, was also arrest for obstruction of justice/resisting arrest during the execution of the search and arrest warrants.
