SACRAMENTO — A Sacramento woman was arrested on Saturday, March 11, 2017, after driving her vehicle into the lobby of the Sacramento County Main Jail.

Latasha Marie Dora, 32, of Rancho Cordova, is being held at the jail on felony counts of vandalism and destruction of a jail facility. Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies are unclear of the motive behind the suspect driving her SUV into the jail lobby—located on I Street between 6th and 7th streets—at approximately 5:30 a.m. on March 11.

Dora was evaluated for driving under the influence, but on Saturday, Sacramento County Sheriff Sergeant Tony Turnbull reported that there was no indication of her driving under the Influence. Bail was set at $10,000.

Authorities said that this is the second incident of this kind over the past month. In February, Craig Joseph Dumas, 54, was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism after driving his car into the Sacramento County Main Jail through a roll up prisoner delivery door. He was arrested on a vandalism charge, violation of probation and on suspicion of false report of a bomb.

Visitation at the jail has been cancelled until further notice. Further information can be found at www.sacsheriff.com.
