YREKA — On March 16th at around 10:13 PM, a Sheriff’s Deputy arrived at a local McDonald’s after a report of a man threatening people with a machete.
A man later identified as Matthew William Armstrong-Horr (39) had threatened bodily injury with a very large knife. Once on scene, deputies contacted the victim who identified Armstrong-Horr as the suspect. A large knife was also recovered.
Armstrong-Horr was arrested and booked into the Siskiyou County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a dirk/dagger, as well as three additional warrants.
