FAIRFIELD — On March 24th just before 6 AM, Fairfield PD arrived on the 1900 block of West Texas Street to investigate a burglary report at a local business.
There they discovered the front window broken and the interior ransacked. While no suspect was met on scene, officers were able to pull photographs of him from the business’s surveillance cameras. The photos were issued along with a BOLO broadcast.
That same day at around 6:30 AM, a Community Service Officer noticed a man who matched the description on the 600 block of Beck Avenue and notified police, keeping an eye on him as officers were en route.
Officers met with the suspect — later identified as 40-year-old Emilio Gutierrez of Fairfield — and discovered items in his backpack which appeared to belong to the ransacked business on West Texas Street.
Gutierrez was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail for commercial burglary, possession of stolen property, tampering with a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation violation.
