CHICO — On April 4th at around 1:30 AM, a suspicious individual jimmied his way into Red Mountain Green Cycles (465 E. 20th St.) “via an adjacent business” and made off with a $3000+ electric bicycle.
The business owner provided officers with a lead which proved helpful, as it wasn’t long before Chico PD TARGET officers were able to identify the suspect as 33-year-old Larry Sage.
At 2:35 PM that same day, officers found and recovered the bicycle at a local motel, but Sage was nowhere to be found.
The following day at around 10:45 AM, officers located Sage and took him into custody. He is charged with felony commercial burglary.
