STOCKTON — On March 29th at around 2:50 PM, a local police officer on patrol in the area of SR-26 east of SR-99 noticed an expired registration on a white Sedan stopped ahead.
The officer conducted a formal traffic stop and spoke with the driver, later identified as 44-year-old Weston Phillip King, and discovered he’d been driving on an expired license.
A system check also revealed that King was on the hook for an arrest warrant by the Arizona Department of Corrections for aggravated robbery.
An inventory check of the vehicle prior to its being towed also turned up a weapon case containing a Remington 700 bolt action rifle, which did not have a registered owner.
King was arrested without incident and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on his outstanding warrant as well as being a felon in possession of a firearm.
