Sean Vasquez on Facebook Live (KTTV)
COVINA – Coming in at only 20 years old, Sean Vasquez faces a grim future if he is convicted of the charges facing him.
On April 9th, Vasquez shot at several passing cars in the 16700 block of East Cypress Street.
He also shot at deputies who responded to the scene, and at a sheriff’s helicopter in the area.
The suspect then ran away and attempted to hide in a nearby home. Parts of the ensuing standoff were recorded and posted on social media (Facebook Live) by Vasquez himself.
The shooter faces fives counts of attempted murder and seven counts of assault with a firearm on a peace officer.
The LA County District Attorney’s office notes, “If convicted as charged, Vasquez faces a possible maximum sentence of nearly 200 years to life in state prison.”
